Transmission Maintenance – Extend the Service Life of the Transmission System

Transmissions are divided into manual transmissions and automatic transmissions. The maintenance points of the two are different, but the core is to replace the transmission oil regularly. Manual transmission oil is recommended to be replaced every 3 years or 60,000 kilometers, and automatic transmission oil is recommended to be replaced every 4 years or 80,000 kilometers (specifically subject to the vehicle manual). Long-term non-replacement of transmission oil will lead to oil deterioration, reduced lubricating performance, increased wear of gears, valve bodies, and other components, and even faults such as shift hesitation and transmission noise. When replacing transmission oil, select the oil matching the transmission model; manual transmission oil and automatic transmission oil cannot be mixed. At the same time, during replacement, the transmission oil filter (equipped in some models) can be checked synchronously; if the filter is blocked, it needs to be replaced together. In addition, during daily driving, manual transmission models should avoid frequent half-clutch driving, and automatic transmission models should avoid long-term neutral sliding to reduce transmission wear.
